So, whether you're building a cozy home or a luxurious mansion, you can rest assured that your new home is helping to create a greener future for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

Have a general question? Check out our FAQs below.

Traditionally people invest in solar to reduce their energy bill.

With SolarCloud you still invest in solar. It still reduces your energy bill. But this time the panels are NOT on your roof!

FAQs

How do they get to my energy bill?

It’s kind of like the photos on your iPhone, they are actually stored in the cloud. SolarCloud does the same. You buy panels and we manage them for you via the cloud. All you need to do is enter your energy company’s details in the dashboard and we do the rest.

How do I keep track of what money was sent to my energy bill?

You can view everything from your purchase to your last disbursement. The tracker also shows:

  1. where the funds were deposited and when.

  2. if you bought cloud-based solar but it’s not active yet

  3. keep track of order progress - a little bit like being notified of your order and delivery from Amazon etc.

Do I need to switch energy company?

No, there is no need to switch, we can credit any Australian energy bill.

You can stay with your current energy provider, or you can switch. Just log in to your SolarCloud dashboard and enter the Bpay details.

Can I have more panels for my home and my BASIX score?

Absolutely! You can have multiple energy companies for your different properties I.E your home and your apartment. Or simply send money to a relative overseas to pay their energy bill from your cloud-based solar.

Where are my panels?

In the SolarCloud dashboard you will be able see exactly where the panels are located.

The dashboard shows panel location and is marked on Google maps with the SolarCloud ‘S’.

How do Payouts and allocations work?

  1. Payouts - Choose if you want the money (technically called disbursements) to appear on your energy, Paypal or bank account.

  2. Details: Simply input the Bpay details from your energy providers bill, that is the Biller code and reference number.

  3. Allocations: Choose some or all of your money to go to which ever account you like I.E If you have 10kW, you could choose to have 8kW go towards your home energy bill and 2kW to go towards your daughter’s apartment energy bill.
