Your investment returns (technically structured as cash disbursements from your SolarCloud solar investment) accumulate daily. These returns are paid as a cash amount, not as an energy (kWh) credit, and are applied to your nominated energy bill on a quarterly basis.

Because the disbursement is paid in $$$, it reduces the total amount payable on your bill — including both usage charges and fixed connection charges — regardless of how much electricity you consume or when you use it. This means your benefit is not dependent on exporting energy or matching solar generation to your usage, and there is no need for a battery. See our virtual battery page.

1. Link

   In the ‘Link My’ section of the dashboard click ‘Electricity Account’

   Then click the ‘plus’ button

2. Name and kW

Give this property a name - ‘Home’ or ‘Holiday apartment’ etc…

Choose how many kW (SolarCloud panels) you would like linked to this account/location

3. Any Australian Energy Company

Select your energy company from the drop down list

Enter your energy account details

4. Done

Should you wish to change energy account details as you have moved house or changed providers, click the gold pencil and follow steps 2 and 3.

5. Another account

Should you have another property, or wish to use some of your solar to credit** a friend or relatives’ energy account, just follow steps 2 and 3 again. Now enter their energy company and account details.
